Hence faith. If you were to create something, what would be its purpose of existance? wouldn't it be to reflect you and bring you joy? We as His creation are called to worship him here on earth and find joy in bringing him glory (in the holy sense not the arrogant egotistical sense, cause he's god he doesn't need us)

Our society has also warped the meaning of predestination making it all about our lack of choice and believing it to mean that there is no point to existance if we are mere puppets. But when you read God's word it obviously implies and says that we have the ability and responsibility to choose and will be held accountable for our life here on earth. I see it that if God is God, the alpha and omega, he must have foreknowledge of what is ahead of us and how our story ends. His chosen ones are the ones that He in eternity already knew would follow Him. And if we are "dead in our sins" then it must be Him that moves our hearts first to respond to the gospel yet there is definately a choice for us to make whether we respond by hardening our hearts in disbelief or whether we respond in repentance and faith.

It is also a very first world western individualistic point of view to believe that we are all put here for a specific reason. Would it not be enough just to be his creation? And what if you were to suffer all your life in this life time does it mean that our God is not deserving of worship? Is it our standard that determinds God's worth and worthiness of His plans?
carolynnoreply@blogger.com
